Pregnancy

Pregnancy starts from the period of time between the fertilization of the ovum to the birth of a child. During this period, the women will carry inside her a growing embryo for nine calendar months till it is developed and ready to leave the protection of her womb.

During Pregnancy the mother's whole reproductive system and internal body structure starts to change rapidly to make space and to fulfill the needs of the growing embryo. Her uterus grows to become larger and more flexible. The breast begins to alter in size so it can be ready to produce milk for the child. An alteration of renal function, blood volume, and blood cell count also occur in the mother during her pregnancy period.

Pregnancy is supposed to be one of the special stages of a women's life. However, during this period women face many problems due to the rapid change in their body, especially if they are expecting their fist child.

The first few signs of pregnancy are:

 No periods

 Nasuea and Vomiting

 Soreness of the Breasts

 Enlargement of the Breasts

 Increased Urination

 Fatigue

To confirm pregnancy there are several tests that are available off the shelf at pharmacies and in several health shops. However, despite these tests couples prefer to consult their doctor not only to know how far the pregnancy has reached, but also to learn about the care required during pregnancy for a happy, comfortable mother and child.
