Breast Cancer

Breast Cancer is the most common type of cancer and has become the leading cause of cancer deaths among women. The number of breast cancer cases has been on an increase, but on a positive note the number of deaths due to breast cancer seem to be declining. A combination of earlier detection and more effective treatment are thought to be responsible for this trend.

Researchers haven't as yet found the exact reason why some women are more prone to develop these cancer and some are not so prone. However, researchers have found that there is some racial bias and white women are more likely to get it in comparison to African or Asian women. They have also found a number of things that may increase a women's chance of getting breast cancer. These are called risk factors. Some risk factors can be controlled while others cannot.
